Yarmouth
Image number: 0975
I've been waiting for a shot like this for quite a while! Every year for 3-4 weeks I drive to Yarmouth in the hope of getting what I call the 'Pink Wave'.
When it is relatively clear towards the horizon where the sun is setting, and there is a lot of cirrus cloud in the opposite direction, you get this lovely pink wash effect. It starts off gently then blooms as the sun dips below the horizon and the high cloud relects its last colourful rays down to earth. The colour then continues toward the horizon like a Mexican Wave.
